Presidential Elections
Election is a process involving not only the candidates, but the whole student community. Save major dates to your calendar and stay updated on the course of elections.
All stages and procedures of the Presidential Elections are described in relevant documents and regulations. Rules are applied to all students of Nazarbayev University.

Candidate Eligibility Criteria
  • Active Student of the University
    currently pursuing degree (not on academic leave) and won't be graduating until the end of the presidential term
  • Good Academic Standing
    student's overall CGPA must be no less than 3.0/4.0 (if applicable)
  • No Misconduct Records
    no personal records of disciplinary or academic misconduct cases
  • Kazakh Language Proficiency
    at least intermediate level of proficiency of Kazakh language (elementary level for international students)

    Letter of Consent
    Fill out and sign a letter of consent to participate in the Presidential Election (template can be found here)

    Curriculum Vitae
    Highlight all experiences and skills that you believe make you a strong candidate
  • 3
    Motivation Letter
    Write a short piece (no more than 250 words) answering the question "Why do you want to become the President of the Student Government?"

    Unofficial Transcript
    Download an unofficial transcript from the website of the Office of the Registrar

    Action Plan
    Write a detailed plan describing your goals for the next academic year, along initiatives that will help you to realize these goals. Sample Action plan
